The camel coat, waving in the soft wind, seemed to blend into the rusty grey atmosphere, while the black accessories popped out.
Some moments are just a now or never. My favourite shoot of my latest visit to New York City happened in one of those ephemeral circumstances.
Tom and I were (literally) running through the streets of NYC in order to pay the mandatory visit to Henri Bendel on our last day there, when we found ourselves in this magical moment of NYC archetype. The twinkling lights, the city-life, the skyscrapers, the yellow cabs and (of course) the smoke… Was there anything missing from this scenery? The beauty of the big apple took over.
The camel coat, floating together with the soft wind, seemed to blend into the rusty grey environment, while the black accessories popped out. It was pure magic.
As we made our way back to the hotel, singing the lyrics “Start spreading the news, I’m leaving today…”, we realised we were not leaving empty-handed, but filled with memories and dreams from this city where anything can happen.
