Hats. Sporty-chic hats, Pamela hats, winter hats, summer hats.
I’m not going to lie to you. I just love them all. Even more so if you add a Chanel broche to them as a tribute to the woman who changed the course of fashion. Simple, elegant hats are precisely what Gabrielle Chanel based her first store on, after all. More on that another time.
Lets get back to the hats. While they may not be everyone’s preference, it is no secret that hats have the power to give that final touch to a simple outfit. Whether for a laid-back, casual occasion or a more formal event, they never seem to fail. You only need to look at the always impeccably stylish Duchess of Cambridge rocking the hat game and you will know what I’m talking about. And what about those fabulous hats you can admire at the London races? (because lets be honest, the main reason I would go to them is to witness the magnificent promenade of extravagant ensembles…)
Combining them with a pair of tough leather pants or a furry scarf, I was able to survive Belgian winter. Thankfully, that time of the year is gone to be replaced by my personal favourite: Spring.
Spring hats ahead, then!
Over and out.
