Marta in an all-black outfit? If my mom would see this, she would probably worry about my wellbeing (if you are reading this, hi mom!). In fact, the situations where I use this colour are rather sparse and the piece in question is usually a LBD.

But truth is, even colour lovers like me sometimes cannot resist the effortlessness and sleekness that black has to offer. Plus, every lady likes to feel like a badass once in a while! So when I came across this amazing Maje top with a fantasy collar, I decided it was time to jump out of my comfort zone and black out!

One of my main fears of wearing all black ensembles has always been looking too plain and losing detail in the outfit. The simple solution? Combine different textures and fabrics. Leather, silk, lace, denim… and even a pop of white are some examples that will easily upgrade your look. In my case, the white leather geometry of the collar gave the whole look another dimension, making it even more tough.

What do you guys think? Are you a black kind of a girl or do you prefer color in your outfits?

I prefer black and white outfits for the working week, so that I rock colour on the weekends. But I am more of a fan of colour.
