MAJE SKIRT, H&M TOP, ZARA HOME PICNIC BLANKET
Let’s just start this post by saying that I have always been a huge fan of charming garden picnics in the middle of a cosmopolitan city. Even more so, if the city in question is Paris, and the garden includes both colourful flowers and a divine view on the Eiffel Tower.
Knowing this, Tom prepared a cute surprise picnic for the two of us. Everything was planned: red wine, a little assortment of cheeses, baguettes, grapes, raspberries and a beautiful sight for us to enjoy. Perfect, right? Little did he know that precisely that day, a running competition (with only 40 000 contestants) was taking place right in the middle of his picnic spot of choice. Instead of french chansons, we repeatedly heard “I took a pill in Ibiza” and rather than a serene view over the Iron Lady, we observed runners getting fired up for what seemed to be the race of their lives (Oh, did we have fun!).
But no crowd or billboard hit songs could have spoiled this magical last picnic of summer, that will keep me longing for the next one! And for now, cheers to new beginnings, cheers to fall and cheers to all of you!
