2016 was quite an amazing year for me, full of exciting changes. In February, I got to finally move together with my boyfriend Tom after 3 years of long-distance relationship, which turned out to be the best decision of the year. Together with the launch of this website in May and the start of my dream master in Luxury Management it made 2016 the most creatively challenging and fun year for me so far.
Still, I believe that standing still in life equals going backwards. There is always some progress to be made, whether it is in your personal or work life.
So every year I set myself some goals –let’s call them New Year Resolutions to be completely cliché- which I have been taking truly seriously for the last few years, unlike the 13-year-old me who decisively decided to learn to do the splits but never actually got to do a single stretch. The key is to set small goals that fit into the bigger picture of your vision.
BE MORE PRESENT
During 2016 I’ve been lucky enough to be able to visit some incredibly wonderful places, including New York, Sweden, Russia, Denmark and lots more. But with the fast-pace of our lives I tend to always think of what’s next, instead of relaxing for a moment and enjoying the now. Something to work on during 2017!
Innovate, innovate, innovate. Not an easy thing to do but that’s what it’s all about, isn’t it? Last year I determined to start looking outside of the box. Well this year I want to go further and create my own damn box –to say it in the most dramatic way possible! Wish me luck over here…
I would love to know some more about you guys: What are your New Year’s resolutions?
And of course, I wish you all the happiest and most successful 2017!
PS. I do not have a dog, this cute little thing with me is from a friend.
